Off to Augusta

Although relaxed from our Peaceful Bay stay we managed to get away fairly early.  We pottered along at a good pace throughout the day. For lunch we stopped at the Shannon River national park.
After lunch we went for a walk down to the dam through beautiful Karri forest. The dam was created in 1949 to support the timber industry but within 20 years Shannon had declined. The dam still seems to be in use as therenisanew pump installed there.
Gorgeous scenes around the dam.  We continued on fairly late today as we wanted to make it to Augusta. Third leg of trip- along the southern coast of WA,is now complete.
